This has to be one of my favorite portrait + personal branding shoots ever! This is a wonderful example of a shoot that serves lots of purposes. Lana’s images can be used professionally as well as personally.

The professional photos give a strong sense of personal branding in her businesses, and will have a wide range of career use for Lana. But I also like to take time during full portrait shoots to celebrate the woman as herself…not only a professional, but a confident, sincere, thoughtful, expressive, beautiful human being with many facets. We are all worth celebrating; we are all worth honoring.

It’s not just our professional selves that are worthy of being photographed. Just like it’s not just our mom selves who are worth existing in photographs. We all deserve to be photographed in a way that honors the fullness of life as a person, as a woman. Can I capture that in a studio? Yes and no, but I always tend towards the YES side. Even if it’s “just” studio portraits, a collection of photos can tell a story.
