Allison // Lincoln Nebraska Branding Photographer

Meet my beautiful friend Allison! She had me take some professional personal branding photos that she could use as she promotes herself and her work as a published poet and author. I’m beyond proud of her for everything she’s accomplished, returning to school and earning her MFA all while working hard as a mother and a wife.

These personal branding shoots are some of my absolute favorites. I love to showcase a personality and a “feeling” and not just a face when I do a full portrait shoot. Allison’s personality is similar to mine (and we’re both INFJs) so I tried hard to capture her peaceful, pensive, soulful persona in these photos.

Lighting

I used a blend of natural light along with a touch of strobe in this shoot to get the even, flattering quality of light I was after. My studio doesn’t have the most consistent natural light for portraits, so I can’t count on it! So I have to be ready to use my other lights as needed, and I almost always do!
